"Indianapolis Public Schools is partnering with Enterprise Fleet Management to upgrade its fleet with vehicles that help increase efficiencies, improve reliability, and minimize overall costs. Through the partnership, Indianapolis Public Schools is projected to save $3 million over 10 years, according to the company.

As part of the agreement, Enterprise Fleet Management is helping Indianapolis Public Schools replace its aging fleet and acquire new vehicles that will serve its management, facilities, operations, food service, and police departments. The initial fleet of 23 vehicles includes a mix of cargo vans, box trucks, pickup trucks, and an SUV. The program has the potential to grow to more than 100 vehicles.

Indianapolis Public Schools had been operating a fleet with an average age of about 10 years. The new vehicles will help improve fuel economy and lower emissions while requiring less maintenance overall. Overall maintenance costs are expected to drop by nearly 90%."
